The members of the New York City Police Department Emerald Society Pipes and Drums wish to offer their heartfelt condolences to the family of Sergeant Donald “Scottie” Conniff. Sgt. Conniff was on his way to work the detail for Mayor Giuliani’s second inauguration on January 2, 1998 when a drunk driver ran a red light and struck his vehicle. Sgt. Conniff was thrown from the car and suffered head injuries that left him unable to care for himself over the last 18 years. His father, Daniel, was also an NYPD Sergeant. Sgt. Conniff’s passing is a Line-of-Duty Death. Your attendance at the services below would be greatly appreciated by the Conniff Family. Please keep them in your thoughts during this very difficult time.
